Cherian K Cherian is a highly motivated software engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at DocuSign, where he is a part of the Storage/Infrastructure team. Cherian has gained valuable experience through his internships at Charles River Development and IMC Trading. During his internship at Charles River Development, he built a testing tool that reduced the runtime by half. He achieved this by using Docker containers to run subsets of tests in parallel, which significantly improved the productivity of the team. Cherian also incorporated an automation feature using C# to the Investment Management Product of the company, which allowed the product to accept workflow instructions in an excel sheet and run them in a sequential manner. This helped the clients eliminate manually repetitive tasks and save time in managing their investments. During his internship at IMC Trading, Cherian developed a company-wide tool in Java to analyze abnormal trades and isolate factors driving the variations. He also extended the Java-based server to support querying for feed and order data from multiple databases, providing traders with much larger flexibility and insight. Cherian implemented the ability to filter and order events in the GUI based on configured criteria, including being able to specify different feed and order databases to search from. Cherian's technical skills include software engineering, infrastructure, test, Docker, Java, and search.
